Sita Legac is an Associate currently working in the Firm's Land and Litigation departments. Sita handles title issues for the oil and gas industry, including reviewing title abstracts, drafting title opinions and title curative work. Sita also assists in regulatory matters related to New York's compulsory integration proceedings, real estate transactions and division order calculations. She has considerable experience reviewing real estate and mineral title in both New York and the Appalachian Basin.

As part of the Firm's Litigation Department, Sita is involved in various aspects of administrative proceedings and state and federal litigation. She has experience researching complex arguments for potential litigation as well as defensive motions. Sita also has assisted in electronic and paper discovery reviews as well as fact gathering related to pending litigation.

Sita received her Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University in 2010. During her third year at Albany Law School, Sita was an Article Editor for the Albany Government Law Review. Also while in law school, Sita was awarded the Albany Law School Diversity Scholarship for three years, the Albany Law School Staff Scholarship for her second and third years and The John and Laura Miller Memorial Scholarship for her third year. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a legal intern at General Electric Energy as well as a real estate paralegal.
